Mary Susan is WXIN FOX 59's On-Air Parenting & Family Lifestyle Expert. Since 2009, she has been an On-Air Television contributor and personality for WXIN, FOX 59 in Indianapolis. Mary Susan has written featured columns for several Parenting Magazines and started one of the first E Magazines for moms. She hosts a podcast in conjunction with her Fox 59 on air lifestyle segments. Mary Susan has written three books: Mommy Magic: Tricks for Staying Sane in the Midst of Insanity and her debut novel, 

The Journey. Her most recent book, Life’s Little GuideBook:Tricks for Leading A Meaningful Life came out in 2021. She’s been a contributing author to: Bye-Bye Boardroom:Confessions from a New Breed of Stay-At-Home Mom’s (featured on the Today Show) and Mom’s Night Out: Even Inmates Get Time Off for Good Behavior, Nothing But The Truth So Help Me God: Women’s Life Transitions and Indy Writes Book.

Mary Susan Buhner has over 25 years of professional experience in not-for-profit advancement supporting educational organizations with Capital Campaigns including: Indiana University, Butler University, LT Educational Foundation, Cathedral College Preparatory Indianapolis.

In her free time, Mary Susan volunteers and is an advocate for not-for-profit organizations that support children and their health and wellness. She believes deeply in serving others and bringing awareness to causes that support families challenged with adversity. She has been nominated for the Traditional Home Magazine Classic Woman Award. Mary Susan was also intricately involved in working with former Governor Mitch Daniels, to help fund and open the first ever free clinic in the state of Indiana for children born deaf or hearing impaired. She received a Leadership Service Award from former Indiana Governor Daniels for this effort.

She has served on the Board of Directors for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Chairperson of Indiana University Women's Philanthropy & Leadership Colloquium, as well as, on Indiana University’s Women’s Philanthropy & Leadership Council overseeing Membership & Programming Committees. She currently serves on Indiana University‘s College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board and The Dean of Student Affairs Parent Advisory Council and The Greek Life Advisory Board. She was recently selected to serve on the Board of Managers for the IU Alumni Association. 

Mary Susan loves kayaking, her four dogs, traveling with her family, cooking with her girls and spending time with friends. Above all else, she considers her most rewarding role being mom to her three beautiful daughters.
